We are hiring for an Early Morning Outbound Shipping Associate.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Outbound Shipping Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and consolidating outgoing shipments and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the shipping process. You will also be responsible for packaging outbound orders and labeling appropriately. The ideal candidate will have experience in stock management (returns, damaged product, etc), order picking, and basic math skills.
Responsibilities:
– Verify outgoing shipping orders and ensuring accuracy
– Load trucks using appropriate equipment
– Inspect packages for damages or discrepancies and report any issues to the supervisor
– Pick orders accurately and efficiently using an order picker or other equipment
– Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation
– Maintain inventory accuracy by performing regular cycle counts
– Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of orders
– Operate within a distribution center environment following safety guidelines
– Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system to track inventory and process orders
– Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
– Previous experience in shipping and receiving or related field preferred
– Basic math skills for accurate counting and measurements
– Ability to operate equipment such as order pickers, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
– Familiarity with e-commerce platforms is a plus
– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
– Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
